The Cassowary Coast is a local government area in the Far North Queensland region of Australia, south of Cairns and centered on the towns of Innisfail, Cardwell, and Tully. The region is named after the elusive, endangered, feathered, and flightless bird, the cassowary, which is found in the tropical underskirts of Queensland’s highest mountains or rummaging beachside.
The Cassowary Coast is a must-visit for those who want to enjoy the tropical lifestyle surrounded by Wet Tropics and World Heritage Rainforest areas, magical island getaways, rugged ranges, fertile floodplains, and stunning beaches
